HMIS Consulting & Development
Compliance with HUD’s Homeless Management and Information System (HMIS) standards involves a range of activities for which we are ready and available to assist homeless agencies with. With any technical implementation you need the framework in place to make sure the system runs effectively and you need the buy in and training of staff members to make sure it is done correctly.
Currently we are working with agencies within Quincy and Brockton, MA to ensure their networks are at or above HUD standards and their data within HMIS is accurate. At the state level we designed the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) Statewide Homeless Operations and Research Environment (SHORE) system with feedback and guidance from local agency representatives. We also led the conversion and data exchange process to consolidate data from 234 agencies within the state into one system in order to get a truly unduplicated statewide count of homeless individuals and families. Our application developers have constructed a fully customizable data collection and reporting application, using the latest in technical innovations, that enable agencies to collect data in areas that are important to them and their funders. This robust application can be standalone or can be integrated with other HMIS applications such as the free application, SHORE, or any other HMIS application that supports common data exchange formats.
